The growing emphasis on indoor environmental quality, personal comfort, and sustainable materials has increased demand for advanced deodorization technologies capable of eliminating a wide range of odor-causing compounds. Deodorizing materials are now widely incorporated into textiles, building interiors, automotive components, consumer products, and hygiene-related applications to improve living conditions and enhance user comfort. At the same time, the increasing use of recycled materials has created new challenges, as recycled plastics and other reused materials often emit complex mixtures of odor compounds that are difficult to remove using conventional deodorants. Traditional adsorbents such as activated carbon and zeolites typically exhibit limitations related to selective adsorption, re-release of captured gases, or reduced performance under humid conditions. To overcome these challenges, Toagosei developed KESMON®️ NS-60, a novel multi-odor gas adsorbent based on metal-organic framework (MOF) technology. By combining high surface area, tunable pore structures, and both physical and chemical adsorption mechanisms, KESMON®️ NS-60 provides effective and stable adsorption of a broad spectrum of odor compounds. This paper presents the characteristics, adsorption mechanisms, deodorization performance, and application potential of KESMON®️ NS-60, highlighting its effectiveness in fibers, resin products, and recycled-material applications requiring superior odor control.”
