Learn more about the heat-resistant features of Aron ceramic, the technical benefits of inorganic formulations, and specific industrial applications of Aron ceramic adhesive.

Features

Aron Ceramic is a one-component, heat-curing, and superheat-resistant inorganic adhesive and/or filler. With fire-resistant ceramics such as Alumina and inorganic polymers as the main ingredients, it is excellent for heat resistance.

Other features include:

  • Extreme heat resistance. Heat-curing the material at exactly 150 °C warrants continuous heat resistance from 1,200 °C to 1,300 °C without burning or emitting dangerous gases.
  • Broad substrate compatibility. The formula guarantees strong bonding strength on demanding substrates like bare metals, ceramics, glass, quartz, and heavy carbon at high temperatures.
  • Thermal cycle stability. The rigid composition provides reasonable resistance to severe temperature fluctuations during active thermal cycling.
  • Chemical durability. The solid structure exhibits fair resistance to aggressive industrial oils, strong solvents, and harsh chemicals.

The curing process involves a specific dehydration and heating cycle to achieve maximum tensile strength. Typically, the process begins with room temperature drying for 16 to 24 hours. A dehydration stage follows at about 90 °C to remove moisture. The final cure occurs at 150 °C for at least one hour.

Benefits

Engineers integrate a specialized aron ceramic adhesive into new product designs to accelerate the transition from initial concept to commercial market execution. Our technology support teams assist Technology and Process Engineers in qualifying these materials for complex new applications. We supply targeted variations of existing chemistries to resolve specific structural vulnerabilities.

  • Extreme heat resistance. The cured material withstands continuous temperatures between 1000 °C and 1200 °C to support high-heat electronic environments safely.
  • One-component system. This pre-mixed formulation simplifies factory application by eliminating the need to measure and mix multiple reactive chemical components before use.
  • High chemical and environmental resistance. The solid structure resists degradation from aggressive organic solvents, industrial oils, harsh chemicals, and severe ozone exposure.
  • Superior bonding and sealing. The compound bonds metals and ceramics securely. Facilities apply this material frequently to seal explosion-proof elements against heavy internal pressure.
  • Electrical insulation. The inorganic matrix operates effectively as a protective metal coating for sensitive electrical terminals, including specific installations on the back of halogen lamps.

Applications

Precision engineering requires adhesives that survive the harshest thermal cycles. We collaborate with technical teams to implement Aron ceramic adhesive in essential industrial assemblies.

Common applications include:

  • Electrical components. Manufacturers apply the adhesive to fill and bond explosion-proof elements, heavy electrical controllers, and electric terminals on the back of halogen lamps securely.
  • Automotive assemblies. Engineering teams integrate the adhesive within active ignition plug assemblies and under-hood modules to resist intense engine temperatures.
  • Heat emissive parts. Formulators utilize the compound as a durable molding or filling material specifically designed for components that emit extreme physical heat.
  • Protective metal coatings. The material creates a permanent heat-resistant, oxidation-resistant, abrasion-resistant, and corrosion-resistant surface coating directly on bare commercial metals.
