UV-curable adhesives have become increasingly important in modern manufacturing because they offer rapid curing, solvent-free processing, room-temperature operation, and high productivity compared with conventional adhesive technologies. As environmental regulations become more stringent and demand for efficient production processes continues to grow, these adhesives are finding expanded use in applications ranging from electronic and optical components to medical devices and industrial assemblies. However, a major limitation of traditional UV-curable adhesives is their inability to cure in shadowed regions where ultraviolet light cannot directly reach, often resulting in insufficient bonding, reduced reliability, or insulation defects. Conventional approaches to overcoming this challenge typically rely on secondary curing mechanisms, such as heat curing, moisture curing, or two-component systems, which increase processing time and complexity while diminishing the advantages of UV curing. To address these issues, Toagosei developed a novel shadow-curing technology that enables curing in both irradiated and non-irradiated areas using only UV exposure and radical polymerization. This paper introduces the development and performance of the ARONIX®️ UVX series, including UVX-8032, UVX-8037, UVX-8092, and UVX-8093, highlighting their shadow-curing capability, adhesive performance, and potential for applications that were previously difficult to achieve with conventional UV-curable adhesives
